the drive to yorkville.

put tyler in his 5 layers.

put him in his carseat.

get in the car, start driving.

get five minutes down the road and realize i remembered all 5 bags, except the most important, my purse.

turn around.

tyler starts screaming.

run inside the house, grab my purse and start driving again.

get a call from d, she needs me to stop by little ceasar for she and greg.

get to little caesar’s, put tyler in stroller.

leave little casesar’s, with one hand controlling stroller, the other holding a pizza, crazy bread and marinara sauce.

put tyler back in the car, start driving.

tyler starts screaming again.

drive 5 more minutes.

tyler is still screaming.

drive 5 more minutes.

tyler is still, without stopping, screaming.

i begin laughing out loud, because what else can you do?

turn onto goldmine rd.

i think, maybe i’ll start talking to him.

it’s working.

silent follows.

and then, as i revel in the silence, tyler starts screaming again.

i pull in the driveway.

he stops.

get him out of the carseat.

he starts dancing.

all is well with the world.
